Functional rhinoplasty is nose surgery aimed at your airway, not your appearance. It corrects the structures that block airflow — a deviated septum, collapsed nasal valves, enlarged turbinates — so you can breathe freely through both sides.

Functional rhinoplasty FAQs
No — functional surgery is aimed at your airway. Your nose keeps its shape unless you specifically ask to change it, which is planned separately.
Septoplasty is one part of it. Functional rhinoplasty can also address the nasal valves and turbinates, which a septoplasty alone doesn't.
If your snoring is driven by a blocked nose, opening the airway often helps — though snoring can have other causes too, which we'll discuss.
Most people are back to desk work in about a week. Internal healing continues quietly over a few weeks.
Yes — assessment, surgery and review fit the standard 5–7 day visit to Turkey.
Yes. Many patients combine the two as a septorhinoplasty; if you only want breathing corrected, that's exactly what functional surgery does.
